The operation procedures for the use of fermentation tanks mainly include the following steps:

Equipment inspection and preparation:

Check whether the various components of the fermentation tank are working properly, especially the safety valve, pipelines and lines.

Clean the tank body to ensure that there is no residue and perform an airtightness check.

Sterilization:

The sterilization is carried out by moist heat method, usually steam sterilization or chemical disinfection. Small fermentation tanks (such as 5L) can be sterilized at 115℃ for 30 minutes, and large fermentation tanks (such as 10L and above) can be sterilized at 121℃ for 30 minutes.

After sterilization, connect the cooling water pipeline and the sterile air pipeline for cooling.

Filling materials and calibrating electrodes:

Load the culture medium into the tank body and calibrate the pH electrode and dissolved oxygen electrode.
Connect the defoamer bottle, acid and alkali feed bottle and sampling bottle for sterilization. ‌
‌Fermentation process management‌:

Set parameters such as temperature, pH and stirring speed to start the fermentation process. ‌

Monitor key parameters such as pH, temperature and oxygen concentration and adjust as needed. ‌

Observe the fermentation process regularly to prevent abnormal conditions. ‌

‌Fermentation end and processing‌:

Stop fermentation when the fermentation reaches the set time or target product concentration. ‌

Clean the tank and electrodes and save them for future use. ‌Maintenance and care‌:

Clean the fermentation tank regularly to remove residues and prevent contamination. ‌
Check and replace components such as seals and filters to ensure normal operation of the equipment. ‌
Record usage and maintenance to track equipment status and fault history.
